DeadNettle -Lamium purpureum — DeadNettle is in the mint family, but it doesn’t smell or taste minty. It’s a real musky, earthy taste. You can tell mint family members by their square-like stems. The leaves are edible and super nutritious. DeadNettle also has medicinal benefits. It is astringent, can be used as a diuretic, diaphoretic, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal. DeadNettle is great for the skin as a salve. Going to harvest some and whip up some salve soon!  I hope you look at that purple weed a little different now ; )
