Chai ☕️ Immune Tea— I love this tea! I’ve always been a chai fan, but add the astragalus root and 💥 you add some immune boosting. When my husband first tried it, he said he felt alert and focused, but not in a high caffeine way:) I felt the same way. ☕️ Here is the recipe:
☕️ 4 cups of water 4-5 teaspoons astragalus root
Simmer root in water for 30 minutes.
20 black peppercorns- crushed
10 cardamom pods -crushed
Cloves to taste – crushed
4 cinnamon sticks
3 teaspoons of dried orange peel
3 tablespoons of Darjeeling tea (or black tea – you could even use tea bags)
Fresh ginger -minced to taste
2 cups almond milk (or milk if your choice).
After root is done, add spices and milk and stir gently for about 5 minutes. Add black tea and remove from heat and let steep, 10-15 minutes. . Strain and add maple syrup or honey, if you like.
