SAGE, Salvia Officinalis — Is Thanksgiving the only time you use sage?

Have you tried sage tea? I’m a blender of herbs to create teas. I love to combine lots of different flavors. But, over the winter I drank just plain Sage Tea. I love the flavor- so rich. Pinch off a few fresh sage leaves (dried leaves about two teaspoons )add to a mug or tea infuser. Pour boiling water into mug, let it steep for about 10-15 minutes. Strain or remove leaves or infuser.
Salvia species (which includes all types of sage) are said to have beneficial effects on memory disorders, excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), heartburn, and insomnia. And good for hot flashes! Gargling with sage tea is also claimed to be a remedy for sore throat and coughs.
Because of the presence of the compound thujone, it’s best to limit your daily sage tea consumption to 3–6 cups a day. And if you are breastfeeding, not a good choice for you, Sage can dry up a milk supply. So, Sage is for strength! This sign is so cute – a great find
